Dr. Hess opened Pine Grove Animal Hospital in March of 1999. He enjoys all aspects of small animal veterinary practice, particularly cardiology, endocrinology, gastroenterology and wellness care. He has seen Pine Grove Animal Hospital through steady growth both in size and technological advancement in an ever-changing profession, as evidenced by the recent move of the practice to a new, larger, better equipped facility.
Dr. Hess has two daughters: Dr. Milan Hess, a specialist in veterinary Reproduction at Colorado Veterinary Specialists, and Erin Hess, who works at Water 2 Wine, a custom winery in Littleton. Gracie, a 15 year old tortoise-shelled cat, keeps Dr. Hess company at home. He enjoys bicycling and participates in several 100 mile and longer events every year including the Triple Bypass and the Deer Creek Challenge. Erin is his training partner for these events but on race day, she leaves dad in her dust!
